"Music can change the world because it can change people" (Bono, 1983) Studying music gives you the opportunity to develop unique skills. You will study performance and improve your abilities in playing or singing. You will also develop skills in writing your own music. These creative and practical skills will be further enhanced through academic study of various aspects of music history. You will encounter many different musical genres including the Western Classical Tradition, Music for Media, Music for Theatre and Popular Music.

What you need to get on

An Average GCSE Point Score of 5 is required. Grade 4 in practical and grade 3 in theory, as well as GCSE grade 5 in English Language is required.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
