Studying music at A level gives you the power to engage with music more deeply as a performer, composer and listener. A greater appreciation of how and why music will also be gained. students will study topics such as performance, composing to a given brief and listening and analysing set works using a musical anthology. 5 GCSE Grade 9-4 (including a 4 in either English or Maths). Grade 4 in GCSE Music or Grade 5 ABRSM theory. You must also be able to play an instrument to grade 5 standard.
