What the college says

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE VENUE FOR THIS WORKSHOP IS BERWICK CHURCH, BN26 6SR.Let go of thoughts of the past or worries about the future with some mindfulness practice in Berwick church. This special place is nestled at the foot of the Downs surrounded by nature. We will practice mindfulness together outside in the church garden (weather permitting) opening to our senses attuning to the different elements of the winter season. The peace and quiet of the interior of the church provides a space to breath and be still. Learning to look mindfully, we will explore the richness of the murals painted by some of The Bloomsbury Group artists as well as more contemporary paintings. Allowing ourselves to slow down, absorbing the effects of the paintings and the space, opening our curiosity through our senses and noticing how this affects our experience. A talk about the history of the church will be given by the church Community Outreach Officer. Refreshments will also be provided.
