This study programme is designed to equip you with the practical, organisational and analytical skills to make professional standard films, television programmes and online video content. You will learn the skills to plan, film and edit short films. This course is ideal if you are a budding film-maker, producer…actually anything connected with making films and TV programmes. You will gain hands-on experience creating products for possible broadcast on the College's internal broadcast facilities. The College has links with Los Angeles Harbor College which has provided opportunities for previous students to work on live television and performance based theatre projects. Others have worked with local MP's, streaming community meetings live, on the internet, filming corporate events as well as entering and winning national competitions. You will study: -Planning and production of media products such as short films, music videos, documentaries and advertisements -Understanding of the creative media sector -Professional practice in the media industries -Animation techniques (stop motion) -Television studio production -Multi-camera opportunities filming music events, performing arts performances and corporate events Employment: This course can form the foundations for future study and work in this industry. Education: You could progress onto university to further develop your knowledge and skills in this area.

Four GCSEs at grade A* to C including GCSE maths at grade 4 or above plus GCSE English at grade 4 or above A genuine enthusiasm for media production
