Adults 19+. This course is ideal for anyone looking to improve their everyday maths skills or to gain a Functional Skills qualification. Functional Maths is an approach to teaching maths that helps people to gain the most out of life, learning and work. Joining a Functional Maths class will give you the opportunity to improve your maths skills and to use these skills for practical problem solving. It will build your confidence in how to use maths in all aspects of your everyday life.

What you need to get on

All prospective learners will need to complete an initial assessment. The assessment will give us an indication of your current level and learning needs. This will ensure that you are enrolled onto the correct level of Functional Skills. On completion we will either offer you a place on the course or discuss your options. Students must be aged 19+.

How you are assessed

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
