Maths is one of the best subjects to develop your analytical, research and problem solving skills. Not only will studying maths help give you the knowledge to tackle scientific, mechanical, coding and abstract problems, it will also help you develop logic to tackle everyday issues like planning projects, managing budgets and even debating effectively.

What you need to get on

College Entry Requirements: Minimum of 5 higher grades at GCSE, including English and maths (minimum grade 5). Subject Specific Requirements: GCSE in Mathematics with success at a grade 7 standard. Students must be self-motivated and willing to put in the time needed to succeed as the course is one of the most difficult on offer.

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
