What the college says
This course will equip students with skills such as logistical analysis and deduction, data handling, mathematical modelling and problem solving. You will study mostly material from Pure Mathematics and both Mechanics and Statistics in ratio of 2:1. When studing Pure Mathematics you will be extending your knoweldge of such topics as algebra and trigonometry. In Mechanics you will learn how to describe mathematically the motion of objects and how they respond to forces acting upon them. You will learn the technique of mathematical modelling. In Statistics you will learn how to analyse and summarise numerical data in order to arrive at conclusions about it.
