What the college says
If you have a grade 8 or higher at GCSE Mathematics then you should consider taking two A Levels in mathematics. This will allow you to explore the four branches: pure, statistics, mechanics and numerical methods. Further Mathematics will be very helpful for students aspiring to study a mathematics based degree course such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or Computer Science.
What you need to get on
You will need to have a minimum of 5 A* - C grades at GCSE including at least a grade 8 in GCSE Mathematics to study this course. If you enjoy mathematics and thrive on a challenge, Further Mathematics will be a suitable choice.
