Mathematics is an essential discipline for the modern world in which solving problems, dealing with data and applying logic are a constant challenge. Mathematics is a demanding but interesting course that builds on the work you have met at GCSE, but also involves many new ideas. It is useful as a support for many areas of study and enhances learning in a number of other subjects at both AS/A2 and higher levels.
