Mathematics is an ideal course if you like to work in a logical, methodical way and like its challenge, clarity and problem solving. You will extend your understanding of algebra and calculus. The applied modules will enable you to see how the mathematics you learn can be applied to practical problems in physics, business and computing. Mathematics is a much sought after qualification and is a basis for many subjects. The A Level course consists of six modules taught over two years by two members of staff. Year 1 •Core Mathematics 1 and 2 ?Decision Year 2 •Core Mathematics 3 and 4 ?Statistics

Students are expected to have achieved at least a grade 7 in GCSE Math's to be eligible for this course.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
