You will learn about light vehicle repair and maintenance such as servicing, transmission, electrics, engines and car components. During the course you will study: - Health & Safety - Chassis Components - Engines and Components - Transmission - Vehicle Electrics - Vehicle Servicing - APL where applicable. What you need to get on

Minimum of 2 GCSEs at grade D/3 or above including Maths and successful completion of a relevant Level 1 engineering programme. A suitable reference and a successful interview.

How you are assessed

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

What this level means

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
