This exciting one year course will offer you the chance to learn about a variety of art and design disciplines. You will explore painting drawing photography printmaking and a range of 2D and 3D techniques.You will be able to develop a portfolio of work to support progression onto level 3 qualifications.
What you need to get on
p You will need 4 GCSEs from Grade 3 and above or a Level 1 Diploma in Art and Design at merit grade. /p p No previous experience is required although it is desirable. However for interview you maybe asked to create a small portfolio of artwork in order to demonstrate to the Study Programme Leader your creative ability. /p
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
