What the college says
This one-year course is for students who have an EHCP, are working at entry level 3 or above and want to progress into employment. It will help you explore opportunities to get into work through an extended work placement to find employment. The programme will help you gain work skills and decide on your career pathway through an extended work placement. You will build confidence in communicating, team building, working on your own initiative and being more independent in the community. You will have an allocated work coach who will support you throughout your course. The college will also support you to apply for Access to Work payments if appropriate to help you find sustainable employment.
What you need to get on
We'll check your skills levels at an interview to ensure you are placed on the correct course. You need to be working at or towards Level 1 in English and Maths You must be aged 16 - 24 years old and have an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP).
How you are assessed
Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.

A supported starting point if exams have not gone well yet.
