This qualification is for those who are working or looking to gain entry in the role of Internal Quality Assurance for organisations. Applicants are able to undertake a mix of units, dependent upon their circumstances in both accredited learning and non-accredited learning, not just NVQs. The qualification comprises of 2 units designed to provide the knowledge and assessment opportunities to achieve the Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance. Participants will need to discuss their current circumstances in order to ensure all resources are in place to enable competency to be assessed. An important feature of achieving this award, is your knowledge of the standards relating to your occupational area. You are strongly advised to familiarise yourself with the standards you intend to use with your assessors and candidates. You will need to set aside time to work on your own portfolio.
What you need to get on
You need not have any prior qualifications to undertake the award in Understanding the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice. However, to progress to the other units, you will require either vocational qualifications or suitable length of experience in the subject matter you will be quality assuring. Anyone engaged in quality assuring other units or qualifications must meet the specific requirements of the assessment strategy related to those units and qualifications.
