What the college says

This course offers two pathways (Site Carpentry or Bench Joinery) and builds on the practical skills and knowledge gained at Level 2, progressing to an advanced level. You will learn to carry out first fixing of a traditional cut roof, fixing of a flight of stairs with turns, installing double doors and ironmongery, installing curved and raking moulding, and how to set up and use fixed and transportable machinery.

What you need to get on

Minimum of 4 GCSEs at Grade C or above (if this does not include English and maths these MUST be studied as part of the Level 3 programme) or Level 2 Functional Skills equivalent in English and maths; successful interview and initial assessment; successful completion of Level 2 programme (progressing learners).
