Students will study the principles of fabrication and welding technology and acquire and develop practical skills in different types of welding techniques and processes within our specialist and fully equipped welding workshop. Designed for those with previous experience this course will provide students with a nationally recognised qualification and the skills to progress within the welding and fabrication industry. What will I study? The units you will study are likely to include: Core Units: •Health & Safety •Engineering Principles •Principles of Fabrication & Welding •Welding of Materials MIG/TIG •Plate Work of Fabrication Materials •Solidworks Plate metal 3D developments •CNC programming •Pattern Development using AutoCAD
What you need to get on
4 GCSEs at Grade 9-4. It will be a requirement to have a Level 2 to progress on to this Level 3 qualification.
