What the college says
If you are over 16 years old and have an interest in sports performance, sports leadership or fitness, BTEC Level 3 may be for you. This two-year course will equip you with the knowledge and skills required to progress onto Higher Education or for a potential career in sports and recreation industries.
What you need to get on
Required to have 4 GCSEs at grades 9-4 (A*-C), including English and/or Maths and preferably P.E. Applicants with a BTEC L2 Certificate in Sport require a Pass grade, with English and maths GCSEs at a minimum grade 3. You must have an interest and choose from one of the following academies on your application: Athletics; Basketball; Football; Tennis; Boxing or Leadership. It would be ideal that you have previous experience playing competitive sport however, not necessary.

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
