Performing Arts at BCA focuses on the development of acting, voice and dance skills - the triple threat! For dance we explore technical jazz, commercial, tap. We explore several performance genres including plays, physical theatre, comedy, movement and musical theatre. We also take part national competitions such as ‘Dance Live’ and 'National Conenctions'. Our second-year students have the oportunity to peform in a professional theatre setting too! The course aims to prepare students for their next steps beyond post-compulsory edication and our students often move into employment, university or drama school.

What you need to get on

Four GCSEs at grade 4 or above. One of these must be English or maths. Some previous drama, dance and/or singing study would be advantageous but is not essential.

One subject in depth, assessed largely through coursework and projects.
