You could qualify for full funding, meaning the course will be free to you, if this will be your first full work-focused qualification at level 3, and if you are 24 or above. If you are aged 19-23 you may be eligible for funding through the adult education budget and if this is not your first full level 3 qualification, you may be able to apply for an Adult Learner Loan. Courses will run subject to viable enrolment numbers. This qualification is for those who work in a health care support setting and will enable learners to develop their knowledge, skills and behaviours required for a rewarding carer as a Lead Adult Care worker. The qualification is formed of mandatory and optional units. The mandatory units cover core competencies whilst the optional units allow learners to choose from a variety of areas to tailor the qualification to their needs, interests and to reflect the context of their work. It covers a wide range of areas including how to monitor, plan and review a care plan how to ensure that dignity is at the centre of all work lead and support colleagues in care duties support others to understand the importance of safeguarding carry out fire safety procedures and manage others to do so
