You would be suitable for this course if you have a passion for sport and play football on a regular basis. Ideally, you would be interested in coaching and leadership. Students who select this option are often interested in pursuing career opportunities in the sport and leisure field. For example: health and fitness instructors, Leisure Centres, sports coaching, physiotherapists etc. The course has been running for over 15 years with a proven track record of placing students on to relevant university courses or directly into the football industry.The course is a mixture of theory and practical sessions. As well as the main BTEC academic qualification, Football Academy students will also study various sporting national governing body vocational courses. They will also have the opportunity to undertake work experience in their chosen field.Please note: For the right candidate, it is possible to take the Football Academy Course alongside an A Level or BTEC Course.

What you need to get on

A minimum of 5 subjects at Grade 4 or above, including at least one of GCSE English Language and GCSE Mathematics. A minimum of 5 grade 4’s including English Language/Literature and Mathematics
