The BTEC Nationals in IT is a Level 3 course, a reflection of the increasing importance of new technology.What we?ll studyAs part of this course you will study how organisations use social media, such as Facebook, to promote their business. This is an emerging and rapidly evolving market and employers see skills in this area as highly valuable.The use of databases and spreadsheets are now fundamental in both business and our everyday lives, from storing contacts on a mobile phone, to the massive data warehouses storing internet search data and company transactions. You will go on to understand data modelling and how to create systems to manage data.In addition, you will gain an understanding of all aspects of IT, including how digital devices work, communicating using IT, storing data on the Cloud and much more.
