Whichever route you choose, this course provides a firm foundation on which to build your future.In each year of this two-year course you will complete one coursework unit and one external examination unit. You will study the following units:Human Lifespan Development (examination). This unit covers physical, intellectual, emotional and social development across the human lifespan, the factors affecting development and the effects of ageing.Working in Health and Social Care (examination). Learners explore what it is like to work in the health and social care sector, including the roles and responsibilities of workers and organisations.Meeting Individual Care and Support Needs (coursework). Learners focus on the principles and practicalities that underpin meeting individuals? care and support needs, which are the foundation of all the care disciplines.Physiological disorders and their Care (coursework). Learners explore types of physiological disorders, the procedures for diagnosis, and the development of a treatment plan and provision of support for service users.
