What the college says

The Level 3 Automotive course is a 1 year full time course. The course is dedicated to giving the learner the ability to carry out maintenance and repair on the main Vehicle components and systems. This course is designed to enable the student to be able to diagnose and rectify faults and have a good understanding of the vehicle systems and how they work. Your learning will be assessed through a combination of: • Workshop based tasks and questioning from your assessor • Written assessments • Online testing • Recording your work weekly using an E-portfolio to show your progress.

What you need to get on

You will require 4 GCSEs at Grades 9-4 (formerly A*-C) in English and Maths and successful completion of a Level 2 Automotive Diploma (Maintenance & Repair) Alternatively, You will have previously achieved a Level 2 Functional Skill in English and Maths and successfully completed a Level 2 Automotive Diploma (Maintenance & Repair).
