You would be suitable for this course if you are interested in the living world, including plant and animal life, have an awareness of current scientific issues and be fascinated by how society makes decisions about these. This course combines well with other Science based courses as well as Physical Education and some of the social sciences, especially Psychology. However, Biology is a very useful subject to have for any career choice.

What you need to get on

Minimum of grade 6 in Biology or Combined Science, plus must have a minimum of 5 GCSE grades 9 to 4 or equivalent with at least a 4 or above in English and or Maths

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
