What the college says

The L3 Advanced Technical Diploma is studied over one year with progression onto the Extended Diploma in the second year. It is aimed at those wishing to work within the varied animal management industry or for progression to university on a related subject. There is a compulsory work placement unit of 150 hours to be completed in the first year. This course give a good technical training and education providing a vocational alternative to A Levels and the opportunity for successful students to progress to Higher Education or employment.

What you need to get on

GCSE English, maths and Science at Grade 4 or above plus one other at Grade 4 or a Level 2 technical qualification at least a merit overall (and have passed maths and English) It is strongly recommended that applicants gain some voluntary experience within the animal sector to ensure that they are fully prepared for the expectations of the study programme and gain a realistic insight into the animal industry. A minimum of five days (which do not have to be consecutive) is advised.
