This course is suitable for those who wish to work in hotels, airports, events, cruise operations and visitor attractions. It is designed to provide a suitable qualification for learners to progress on to further study at Level 3 or gain a nationally recognised qualification to enter employment in the Travel and Tourism sector. This course also includes a recognised qualification in Introduction to Cabin Crew to gain employment with an airline.

What you need to get on

Minimum of 4 GCSEs at Grade D or above (if this does not include English and maths these MUST be studied as part of the Level 2 programme) or Level 1 Functional Skills equivalent in English and maths; successful interview and initial assessment; successful completion of Level 1 programme (progressing learners).

How you are assessed

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

What this level means

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
