This course is for you if you are looking to start a career within the horticultural sector. The horticulture sector is made up of many diverse industries delivering the science, art, technology and business of �growing plants�.
What you need to get on
4 GCSEs at Grade 9-3 or A*-D; must include English and Maths at no less than Grade 3 or Grade D. Some work experience before starting the course is desirable. A satisfactory reference from your most recent school, college or employer. Alternative qualifications or experience will be considered upon application.
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
