This course is a work-related one year study programme that gives you a balance of specific public service knowledge, understanding and skills.Being a public servant requires good communication skills, leadership ability, compassion, discipline, and commitment to improving the lives of people in your community. This programme aims to improve these essential skills and also gives you access to relevant public service professionals. Plus you will have the advantage of starting out on your chosen career path.Finally, you will have the opportunity to improve your GCSE grades to a 3 or 4, plus the possibility to progress to our Level 3 course.
What you need to get on
Four GCSEs grade 3 and above to include:* English Language grade 2* Maths grade 2If you have previously taken a Foundation course you should have achieved at least a Pass.
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
