This course provides further practical knowledge and skills in the areas of automotive maintenance and vehicle electrical maintenance.
What you need to get on
Students need five GCSE passes at Grade 4 or above, including Maths and English, or an equivalent qualification at merit grade. Students who have not yet achieved a grade 4 in Maths and English will study Functional Skills or GCSE Maths as part of their course. A good level of academic and study skills is required to undertake this course, problem solving and the willingness to learn and participate in lessons are a necessity.
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
