You will study both the theoretical and practical aspects of routine maintenance on light vehicles, which will include areas such as removal and replacement of components from the engine, electrical and chassis units.

What you need to get on

Minimum of 4 GCSEs at Grade D or above (if this does not include English and maths these MUST be studied as part of the Level 2 programme) or Level 1 Functional Skills equivalent in English and maths; successful interview and initial assessment; successful completion of Level 1 programme (progressing learners).

How you are assessed

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
