If you have already got some experience of Engineering or would like to specialise in Fabrication and Welding this study programme will develop your skills and knowledge to become an industry specialist. The study programme is delivered through a combination of classroom based theory and practical workshop sessions over a number of mandatory and specialist units. What will I study? The units you will study are likely to include: Core Units: •Working in engineering •Principles of engineering technology •Welding by TIG/MIG process •Fabricating steel work assemblies •Pattern development for plate and sheet metalwork.
