If you like a challenge and want to combine your ambition for a career in the public services with outdoor adventure, then youre looking at the right course. Youll work on essential industry skills such as team working, citizenship, leadership and fitness. Theres also plenty of opportunity to participate in a range of outdoor activities including kayaking, canoeing, climbing, bushcraft, sailing, walking and navigation.

What you need to get on

4 GCSEs at grades 3/D or above including English and Maths, or Level 1 Diploma in Sport and Public Services

How you are assessed

One subject in depth, assessed largely through coursework and projects.

What this level means

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
