Would you like to get started in potential future employment in the IT or creative industries? This course will give you a good foundation for potential roles in the industry. You will develop a broad range of technical skills, such as software programming, multimedia, automated systems and developing skills which will also include basic installation and configuration. You'll learn how to design and create databases, develop websites, create video and other assets. You will also develop employment and team work skills which will enable you to develop and grow as an individual, using those essential interpersonal skills needed for the 21st century employment market.

What you need to get on

A minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade 9 - 3 including a grade 4 in either maths or English and a Level 1 qualification.

How you are assessed

One subject in depth, assessed largely through coursework and projects.

What this level means

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
