What the college says
You’ll study all aspects of the travel and tourism industry including world and UK holiday destinations and attractions. You will develop your knowledge of the travel and tourism industry, looking at how airlines, tour operators, hotels, travel agents and visitor attractions operate. You will develop skills around customer service and explore how to sell travel and tourism products. Due to the popularity of a job as a holiday representative you will also get the chance to develop your knowledge and understanding of the role by greeting passengers on arrival and presenting a welcome meeting. You will gain valuable work experience in a real environment as well as attend visits to travel and tourism destinations and organisations. You could enter employment as a holiday representative, travel advisor, hotel receptionist or a role within an airline or tourist attraction.
