This Level 2 ESOL course is here to help you improve and perfect your English and feel more confident using it in all areas of everyday life, education and work. During the course, you'll work on three main areas: Reading - Youll practise reading practical, real-life texts like formal letters, leaflets, newsletters, and newspaper articles as well as fiction such as short stories and excerpts from novels. Youll learn to recognise different types and purposes of texts and their main layout and language features. You will learn to apply a range of reading strategies to understand the main message, locate important details, identify the authors attitude, the tone of the text and figure out the meaning from context. Writing - Youll learn how to plan, draft and write a range of texts such as emails, blog posts, articles, narratives and essays on different topics. Well help you with structuring your texts, choosing the right level of formality, perfecting different aspects of your grammar as well as spelling and advanced punctuation. Speaking and Listening - This part of the course will help you become an active listener and a confident speaker. You will be able to contribute during discussions on various topics, do presentations in front of a small groups, give and respond to constructive feedback.
