What the college says
This programme aims to prepare students to work in a supervised role competently, safely and effectively with children. It will prepare you to work in a wide range of settings with different professionals and volunteers, recognising and valuing the importance of all of them in providing a service for children and their families.
What you need to get on
4 grade 3's at GCSE ideally English and maths, an appropriate Level 1 qualification.. You will have a pre-induction interview/assessment to make sure this is the right level for you. All learners will need to have a clear CRB prior to the start of the course and wil be required to purchase a uniform.
How you are assessed
Two-year technical qualification with a 45-day industry placement. Equivalent to three A levels.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
