What the college says
This course will provide you with the knowledge and understanding of babies and young children from birth to seven years of age with applied knowledge in an early years setting with children aged birth–5 years. Learners will need to attend a work based placement for one day a week within an early years setting for the duration of the course to show competence in both knowledge and skills.

Applicants will be expected to have a recognised level 1 subject specific qualification (or) An equivalent occupational experience
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
