This qualification is aimed at anyone who would like to develop their knowledge and understanding of the care and management of diabetes. This qualification aims to give learners working, or intending to work, in healthcare and social care, knowledge and understanding of diabetes to support their role in the workplace. Learners can also progress to other qualifications in this subject area, or within the wider area of health and social care.

What you need to get on

To be eligible for funding, you must live in England and have resided in the UK or EU/EEA for the last 3 years, must be aged 19 or over, must not have previously studied the course you are applying for or another similar course and must not currently be enrolled on another government-funded education programme. If you are aged between 19 and 23 - you must hold a full level 2 qualification If you're not eligible for funding, you can purchase the course online if you are over the age of 16.

How you are assessed

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
