This qualification is aimed at anyone who wishes to develop an in-depth knowledge of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), particularly in order to progress into related employment in education or health and social care settings. Anyone who currently works in the education and health and social care sectors would also benefit from the course, as well as anyone with a personal need for or interest in developing a more detailed understanding of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

What you need to get on

You must have Level 1 English skills (e.g. Functional Skills English). If you are not able to produce evidence of an English qualification, you will be required to take a short assessment. To ensure this course and style of learning is suitable for you, we will also require you to complete a short course application and attend a brief [online] interview.

How you are assessed

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
