Its a sad fact of life that one in five children and young people will experience bullying in their lives*, and that young learners who are subject to bullying are at increased risk for depression, anxiety, sleep difficulties, lower academic achievement, and dropping out of school.This nationally-recognised qualification will develop your understanding of bullying, including how to recognise that bullying is taking place and how to take action to stop it. The course covers the definitions of bullying and cyber bullying, legislation that relates to bullying, the effects of bullying on children and young people, and how to act when bullying is identified.The Level 2 Certificate in Awareness of Bullying in Children and Young People is split into manageable study units, and will develop your knowledge and understanding in four key areas:* Unit 1: Principles of bullying* Unit 2: Recognising bullying in children and young people* Unit 3: Action to be taken when a child or young person is being bullied* Unit 4: Understand government guidelines for bullyingWhether youre currently working with, or intend to work with, children and young people; or if you simply want to better understand the causes, effects, and warning signs of bullying and learn how to better combat it; this course can give you increased awareness and confidence to complement a personal, professional or voluntary role working with children and young people, or be used to update and advance your continuing professiona
