What the college says

This one year course will develop your skills and knowledge in a large range of business functions, for example marketing, recruitment, communications, finance and training. It will also give you an insight into a range of different aspects of business. This will prepare you for employment, progression to a Level 3 programme and working in any business. The course includes work experience and enrichment activities. Interactive classroom delivery and enrichment activities provide you with the opportunity to develop a wide range of interpersonal and professional skills which can support progression to further study and future employment. This is further enhanced by work experience during the course.

Applicants will be expected to have a minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade 3 or an equivalent qualification

How you are assessed

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.

What this level means

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
