This course gives you practical skills in presentations, report writing, teamwork, and social media marketing, while also building confidence, initiative, and resilience. You’ll take part in enterprise projects, hear from guest speakers, and gain work experience to see business in action. By the end, you’ll be ready to move onto Level 3 Business, an apprenticeship or begin your career journey in this fast-paced sector.

What you need to get on

4 GCSE passes at a minimum of Grade 3, or a Level 1 BTEC which must include a Grade 3 in English Language or Literature and Maths.

How you are assessed

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

What this level means

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
