This Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Barbering is designed for learners who work in or wish to pursue a career in barbering. This course provides the necessary skills and knowledge that prove occupational competence as a junior barber. This qualification allows candidates to learn, develop and practice the skills required to provide barbering services for all hair types. This course covers shaving, cutting facial hair, creating patterns in hair as well as cutting and styling men's hair and consulting with clients. Burton & South Derbyshire College will be delivering this qualification alongside Lifestyle Barbers in Burton on Trent. Working alongside Lifestyle Barbers offers learners access to industry experts, modern facilities, and real-life working experiences that will enrich their educational journey. This course will include trips, visits, and guest speakers to help widen learners knowledge and horizons within the world of Barbering. Learners will be expected to complete a minimum of 37 hours work experience over the duration of the course.

Applicants will be expected to have a minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade 3 or an equivalent qualification.
