What the college says
This qualification will help give you the skills and knowledge to investigate the accidental and malicious security threats that exist to IT systems and data. You will learn about system vulnerabilities and the tools and techniques used to protect users from risks and potential damage, including loss of data, loss of data integrity and unauthorised access to data. The course will included an understanding on cyber crime and the risks and effects it has on individuals and organisations. The course will run for 10 weeks on Tuesday evenings from 6pm to 9pm. It will start on 23rd September, running until 9th December (excluding 28th October).

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
