A BTEC qualification is a practical, work-related course aimed at introducing you to the employment area you have chosen and provides a good basis to go on to a more advanced work-related qualification. You will learn by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands. You will study a variety of specialist units from all three disciplines of biology, chemistry and physics, along with maths and English (unless you already have a Grade 4 (C) at GCSE). You may also have the opportunity to study an additional maths qualification aimed at supporting your study of science. Along with these qualifications you may take part in work experience and/or employability sessions. What will I study?
