ABC Qualification: This Level 2 Motor Vehicle programme aims to establish the skills and knowledge expected of a person starting in the industry as a mechanic. The course covers the safe servicing, inspection and repair of light vehicle mechanical and electrical systems. It also includes training in the maintenance and repair of low voltage and mechanical systems on hybrid and electric vehicles.

What you need to get on

ABC Entry Requirements: Students must demonstrate a clear interest in vehicles and mechanical things. They must complete an interview, which includes a mechanical aptitude assessment or hold a Level 1 Diploma in Motor Vehicle Maintenance at a Pass grade. Applicants should also hold GCSE English and maths qualifications at grade 2 or above.
