This is a Level 2 qualification suitable for those already working in finance, those returning to work after a break or those wishing to change career. The qualification is open to those who are working and those who are not currently in employment. It also offers progression for students who have started studying accountancy and bookkeeping with AAT. The qualification will help students to develop a strong foundation of the bookkeeping knowledge and skills needed to work in accountancy and finance or to go on to study higher-level bookkeeping or accountancy. Students completing this qualification will be able to carry out typical bookkeeping transactions and tasks with confidence. They will also gain an understanding of how typical tasks are automated through use of accounting software.AAT offers a bursary for anyone 16 years old or over. What you need to get on

This qualification would be an ideal next step for students who have already studied accountancy and bookkeeping with AAT. It would benefit you to have completed the Level 1 in Bookkeeping, but this is not essential. To be successful on this course, you will need to be highly motivated and commit to out-of-class learning and revision.You will need a minimum of GCSE grade 4 (C) in Maths and a good standard of English Language at GCSE grade 4 (C). You may have experience of working in an account
