This course provides an introduction to Sport and Public Services. You will have the opportunity to explore this area of employment in a practical way. You will develop wellbeing and physical fitness, team working skills, self discipline, map reading and navigation skills, and gain an understanding of basic health, safety and emergency care. There will be plenty of opportunities to participate in sports and adventure activities.
What you need to get on
Minimum of 4 GCSEs at Grade G or above (or Entry 3/Level 1 Functional Skills equivalent in English and maths); successful interview and initial assessment; successful completion of Entry Level programme (progressing learners).
How you are assessed
Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
What this level means
A first step that builds towards Level 2.
