This course provides an introduction to the construction industry, focusing on practical groundworks skills. It is ideal for learners who want to develop hands-on experience and progress into a specific trade within construction. Units covered include: * Health and safety in construction * Preparing and laying paving slabs * Setting out and constructing gravel pathways * Installing block paving to industry standards * Installing underground domestic drainage systems * Mixing, placing and finishing concrete Training takes place in workshops and classrooms, combining practical activities with theory to develop your understanding of construction processes and safe working practices.

What you need to get on

GCSE grade 9 - 2 in English and Maths. Successful interview with a Construction tutor. A genuine interest in the working in the Construction industry. Good communication skills. A hardworking approach towards the study and the industry.

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
