Full time, one-year programme. On this course you will need to complete multiple units to gain the qualification. This qualification offers an engaging programme for 16 to 19 and also 19+ who wish to follow a vocationally related course to develop a range of employability skills essential for success in working life. This programme provides a variety of diverse and varied units, enabling students to have an introduction to the work of various occupations in the construction industry. The course is made up of units relating to practical skills, which includes different trades within the construction industry. Theory units are to include Health and Safety and drawing/planning skills relating to the construction industry. Functional Skills or GCSE maths or English will also form part of the programme, and all learners will be required to study at an appropriate level. You are expected to supplement College work with personal study at home or in the Learning Resource Centre.

To access this course you will need GCSEs at grade 2 or above in Maths and English, general education and a keen interest in your chosen subject area.
